Preschool
The main difference between a preschool classroom and a Pre-K program is that a Pre-K program is much more structured than that of preschool. Although our preschool and daycare center does feature structure, when your child transitions to Pre-K you both will find that the emphasis is on academics and classroom structure as opposed to socialization and cooperation. This prepares you child for kindergarten and ultimately elementary school.
In this day and age, there are certain milestones such as colors, the spelling of a child’s name, and fundamental knowledge of the alphabet that they are expected to know before entering kindergarten. Our Program Options
Intro to Pre-K
This class is ideal for those children ages 2 1/2 thru 4 years of age. Your child will have the opportunity to participate in a structured environment while developing the basic skills needed to be successful in our kindergarten readiness program the following year.
Pre-K Program
This class is designed for children preparing for kindergarten. Amid community of learners, children will gain knowledge in areas of literacy, math, science and social studies while continuing to develop social skills. Our curriculum is aligned with the standards of local elementary schools to help provide your child with a seamless transition to kindergarten.
5 Day Enrichment Program
Children who are attending one of our Pre-K programs are eligible for the additional two day program. This class offers children preparing for kindergarten the opportunity to engage more deeply in activities that support critical math, science and literacy skills. This class meets in addition to our three day program.
